Homeport Model Ships offers many ship kits that you can order to complete the build of a third party hull.

Homeport offers laser cut decks and structures, brass etch sets, and even 3D printed parts to help you build your warship faster and with more detail than ever before. We have painstakingly gone on ship tours, read over plans, and talked to the experts to bring you the best possible warship supplemental kits. We offer laser-cut parts for your decks with flush hatches, deck lines, and markings. Also an etch set for all the extra details: railings, vents, even the windshield wipers. And we are pleased to supply 3D printed parts from Shapeways so you can order fittings and supporting materlal for your model and take delivery in days, instead of months.

We also work with other vendors in the hobby such as Scale Shipyard, MTB hulls, GT Sitek, Shapeways, Hawk Graphics, and CNC Models to make it easy to get your ship started, and even more importantly, in the water and running in no time.   Littoral Combat Ship Freedom Class / FF Frigate

USS Freedom Kit - 1/96 scale

This futuristic warship enterered service in 2012 as the US Navy's newest frigate. This modular constructed warship can change modules in under 90 mins and take off at over 45 knots. Its four water jets give this boat a real kick so you can run circles around other ships.

Includes: hull, lasers, etch, and plans, and 3D printed water jet running set installed. We supply specific Littoral Combat Ship fittings at our Shapeways store that you can purchase.

  Coast Guard Famous Class Cutter / Bear Class

USCGC Famous Class - 1/96 scale (Only 2 Left)

This Famous class kit includes the laser-cut structure and brass etch sets. You will need to order fittings from Shapeways and a hull from Scale Shipyard to complete this warship.

The Famous-class vessels have hull numbers that range from WMEC-901 through WMEC-913. Entering service in the 1980s, the Famous-class cutters were designed as replacements for the 327-foot (100 m) Treasury-class cutters, and their mission profile emphasizes law enforcement, particularly patrolling the newly established 200-mile (320 km) exclusive economic zone.

  Coast Guard National Security Cutter / Bertholf

National Security Cutter - 1/96 scale (Only 1 Left)

The Bertholf Class kit includes the laser-cut structure and brass etch sets. You will need to order fittings from Shapeways and a hull from MTB Hulls to complete this warship.

These cutters are envisioned by the Coast Guard as being able to undertake the entire range of the High Endurance Cutter roles with additional upgrades to make it more of an asset to the Department of Defense. These vessels can be used for intercepting suspect vessels or for rescuing swimmers, fishery protection, maritime homeland security missions, counter terrorism, or coastal patrol missions.

  Coast Guard Secretary Class / Hamilton

Hamilton Class Cutter in 1/96 scale

The Hamilton Class kit includes the laser-cut structure and brass etch sets. You will need to order fittings from Shapeways and a hull from Scale Shipyards to complete this warship.

The primary mission of these vessels is enforcement of laws and treaties and search and rescue (SAR) on the high seas, including the U.S. exclusive economic zone. Beginning in the 1980s and ending in 1992, the entire class was modernized through the Fleet Rehabilitation and Modernization (FRAM) program. The program included the replacement of the original Mk30 Mod0 5-inch, .38 caliber gun with a modern 76 mm weapon. The refit also included the installation of a Phalanx CIWS gun mount.

  Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer Flight 2A / DDG-89 to 126

The Arleigh Burke Class kit includes laser-cut structure and brass etch sets. You will need to order fittings from Shapeways and a hull from MTB Hulls to complete this warship.

Arleigh Burke class destroyers have many combat systems. Burkes have the Navy's latest anti-submarine combat system with active sonar, a towed sonar array, and anti-submarine rockets. They support strategic land strikes with their VLS launched Tomahawks. They are able to detect anti-ship mines at a range of 1400 yards.

  Oliver Hazard Perry Class Frigate / FFG 7 to 61

Oliver Hazard Perry Class kit includes the laser-cut structure and brass etch sets. You will need to order fittings from Shapeways and a hull from Scale Shipyards to complete this warship.

The U.S. Navy built 51 Oliver Hazard Perry frigates, with the first going into service in 1977. The retired vessels were either mothballed or transferred to other navies for continued service. Some of the U.S. Navy's frigates, such as USS Duncan had fairly short careers, while a few lasted more than 30 years in active U.S. service, and some lasted even longer after being sold or donated to other navies.

  Ticonderoga Class Cruiser / CG 52 - 73

Ticonderoga Class Cruiser in 1/96 scale

USS Ticonderoga Class kit includes the laser-cut structure and brass etch sets. You will need to order fittings from Shapeways and a hull from Scale Shipyards to complete this warship.

Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruisers are multi-role warships. Their Mk 41 VLS can launch Tomahawk cruise missiles to strike strategic targets or fire long-range antiaircraft Standard missiles for defense against aircraft or anti-ship missiles. Their LAMPS III helicopters and sonar systems allow them to perform antisubmarine missions. Ticonderoga-class ships are designed to be elements of carrier battle groups or amphibious assault groups, as well as performing missions such as interdiction or escort.

  Halifax Class Frigate / FFH 330 - 341

Halifax Class Frigate in in 1/96 scale

This Halifax Class kit includes the laser-cut structure and brass etch sets. You will need to order fittings from Shapeways (more soon) and a hull from Scale Shipyards to complete this warship.

HMCS Halifax was the first of an eventual 12 Canadian-designed and -built vessels that combine traditional anti-submarine capabilities with systems to deal with surface and air threats. The Halifax class are the work horses of the Royal Canadian Navy, which deploys them extensively in task groups. All ships of the class are named after major Canadian cities, with at least one from each province.
