Her Majesties warship: Destroyer
HMS Diamond is the third ship of the Type 45 or Daring-class air-defence destroyers built for the Royal Navy. She was launched in 2007, completed her contractor's sea trials in July 2010 and arrived at her base port on 22 September 2010. Diamond was commissioned in a traditional ceremony on 6 May 2011, and formally entered service on 12 July 2011
The Diamond Class British Destoryer is 55 inches long at 1/96 scale. This model was created with a fiberglass hull and hand built gatorboard structure plus plastic to give the details on this sleek modern warship. This ship is accurate to the most minor parts with mutlipule tours and photos of the ship as it visited ports.
This highly detailed warship is more than just a wonderful displayed model, it is a working R/C ship with spinning radar and detailed decks. This ship is made from fiberglass and gator board for ease of transport.
